NEW DIRECTION FOR THE CLARINGTON EAGLES!

The Port Hope Panthers of the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) are pleased to announce that we have hired David Miller as our club’s Head Coach.
“We’re are pleased to introduce David Miller as our Head Coach,” said General Manager Alex Guiney. “David is a driven coach, who’s emphasis on strong communication and player development make him a great fit for our program. In speaking with David throughout this process it became clear that his approach and dedication to the game of hockey stood-out, I look forward to working with him and preparing for the upcoming season.”
Miller previously coached the Clarington Eagles of the East Orr Division from 2017 to 2019. David led the Eagles to the playoffs in both his seasons as Head Coach, compiling a record of 40-33-2-3 and a winning percentage of .544. In addition, David has worked with the Clarington Toros Minor Hockey Association as an Associate & Player Development Coach.
“I’m excited to join an organization that is so tightly connected with its’ community,” said David Miller. “Port Hope has a strong track record of team success, while advancing players on to higher levels of hockey, it’s one of the premier franchises in the PJHL. I look forward to working with our group in Port Hope, as well as with our Strategic Partners – the Cobourg Cougars (OJHL) – this season.”
The PJHL announced on August 24th that the league has targeted December 1st as the official start date of the 2020-2021 PJHL season.
