Buffalo adds Seth Van Voorhis as an Assistant Coach

The University at Buffalo ACHA D1 hockey program is excited to announce the addition of Seth Van Voorhis to the 2019-2020 staff.  Seth will join the program for this season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach, his main duties will be focused as the Recruiting Coordinator and the Director of Game Day Operations. Seth is originally from Georgetown, NY where he played hockey, football, basketball and lacrosse for Hamilton Central School.

Seth has a diverse experience at all levels of Hockey.

  • USA Hockey Level 3 Coaching Certificate

  • Center State Stampede Youth Hockey Program - 2009

  • Colgate University Men’s & Women’s NCAA D1 Hockey – Game Day Video Replay – 2009 - 2011

  • Coached Youth Dip N Dots in Buffalo, NY - 2011

  • Assistant Coach South Town Stars U16 team - 2014

  • Assistant Coach Orchard Park Club Hockey Program – 2015

  • Scout for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs  – 2016 - 2017

  • Assistant Coach – West Seneca East – Modified - 2017, Federal League – 2018-2019

  • Head Coach – West Seneca East – Varsity Club – 2017-2018, Junior Varsity – 2018-2019

  • Worked as a trainer with New Edge Hockey – 2018

  • Earned his Coaching Certification from SUNY-Cortland

  • Attended Onondaga Community College

  • Resides in West Seneca, NY with his Wife, Elena and 2 daughters
