After an off season dedicating themselves to indoor workouts and weight training the MidIsland Pirates were back on the field in their first preseason game of the 2019 season.  

The senior team faced off against the Victoria Eagles in a double header on Saturday.  Sunday saw the senior and junior players on the field in an inter squad game.

Coach Doug Rogers said it was perfect to get a look at both junior and senior players on the field and in game play scenarios.  Both he and Coach Keith Radix were happy with the weekend.

Teams will not be hitting the fields this weekend, instead, they will be hitting the pavement on Saturday collecting recyclables for the Mid Island Pirates Bottle Drive at the Hayes Road Recycling Center.
