The last two undefeated teams in the OJBLL Eastern Conference face off this evening in Bowmanville at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex when the Green Gaels host the Oakville Buzz at 8PM.

In the first match-up between the two teams since game #5 of the 2017 OJBLL Eastern Conference semi-finals, both teams will be looking to stake their claim at the top of the Eastern Conference for the night. This rivalry has grown over the last few years with a number of meetings in the playoffs between the two organizations, and tonight will surely be an intensity filled game.

Both offences will be challenged tonight as the Gaels and Oakville hold the top two Goals Against Averages in the league. For the Gaels, the combination of Brett Underwood and Steve Walsh has held opponents to a 5.5 GAA, while Vinni Tucci and company have put up a 6.5 GAA for the Buzz. Marley Angus, coming off back to back hat tricks for the Buzz will be looking to make a dent in the Gaels defence, along with rookie Justin Sykes who leads the team in points to this point.

Coming off back to back victories over the Orillia Kings, the Gaels offence will welcome Adam Poitras and Will Carnduff back into the lineup after missing Saturday nights contest. Both players have contributed strong numbers towards the Gaels offence which currently leads the Eastern Conference with 104 goals through 6 games.

Tickets for Green Gaels home games are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, while children 12 and under are admitted free under the supervision of an adult. Kids are always encouraged to bring their sticks and helmets to go on the floor in between periods!
