CLIPPERS WIN BACK TO BACK ROAD GAMES

The Windsor Clippers traveled to Niagara and Hamilton this weekend for a pair of games and earned two hard fought wins.

 

Windsor 8 Niagara 5

Brayden Mayea, Jake Rosa and Andrew Clark each scored twice for the Clippers and singles were added by Connor McManus and James Morgan as the Clippers rolled to an 8-5 win over the Thunderhawks. Carson Hebner earned the win in goal for the Clippers stopping 34 of 39 shots.

Windsor 11 Hamilton 6 OT

 

The Clippers earned a huge gut check win over Hamilton with an 11-6 overtime win. The Clippers trailed 3-2 after the first period and fell behind 6-2 before clamping down and scoring 9 unanswered goals. It was 6-4 after two periods, and all knotted up at 6-6 after regulation. The Clippers found an extra gear in overtime, scoring five times in the full ten minute overtime to earn the 11-6 victory.

 

Noah Bushnell scored 4 goals and added 4 assists to lead all Clippers scorers. Jake Rosa and Brayden Mayea scored three goals each and Chase Kavanaugh rounded out the scoring.

 

Carson Hebner was stellar in goal for the Clippers to record the win.

 

Up next for the Clippers is a Thursday night visit from the Point Edward Pacers. Game time at Forest Glade arena is 8:00 pm
