The Windsor Clippers dropped their home opener on Saturday night to the Elora Mohawks 5-4. The loss evens the Clippers record at 1-1 on the season.
The game was a defensive battle, with both goaltenders turning in outstanding performances. Carson Hebner started and took the loss in goal for the Clippers. Hebner stopped 31-of 36 shots. Jacob Rosa and Brayden Mayea each scored twice for the Clippers.
The Clippers will hit the road for a Sunday afternoon tilt in Wallaceburg. Game time is 4:00 pm.
