With the 2018 OJBLL season just around the corner, the Green Gaels are getting prepared to open up training camp to help select this years roster to make another run at the Founder's Cup. Coming just short of the OJBLL Championship the last two seasons, this years coaching staff will be looking to make improvements to help put the team over the top to earn a birth at the Founder's Cup National Championship in Seneca, NY.

Joel Johnson, returning to the Green Gaels bench for the first time since 2013, will look over training camp when it kicks off on April 3rd at Darlington Arena. After spending 3 seasons as an assistant coach with the program back from 2011-2013, Joel returns to the Gaels as Head Coach and will be joined by returning assistant coaches Todd Collins and Chris Cudmore, along with new assistant coaches Brad Reed and Kyle O'Brien.

Gaels camp opens up at Darlington Arena with tryouts taking place on April 3rd, 4th, and 5th from 8PM until 10PM. On Saturday, April 7th, the Gaels will be hosting the annual Green Gael Classic tournament, this year taking place at Darlington Arena. Training camp closes out on Monday, April 9th with the return of the Green and White game at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex on Pad B.

The cost for tryouts for players who did not register for the Green Gaels Conditioning Camp by the early bird registration date of February 15th is $20 per player. Registration will open at 7:15PM at Darlington prior to each tryout, and any players who are not yet registered will have to fill out a registration form before stepping on the floor. Players under 18 years of age will need a parent or guardian to sign for them.

All sessions will be full equipment and full contact, so players should come prepared with full box lacrosse equipment and box lacrosse shoes.

Any players whose junior rights do not belong to the Green Gaels but would like to attend must have written permission from their home organization in order to participate prior to stepping on the floor.
