A hard-working two-way player, Stittsville, ON native Julian Recine is leaned upon in all situations for the Kanata Lasers Midget AAA program. A graduate of the Ottawa Valley Titans Bantam AAA team, Recine can hurt you on both sides of the puck, and in all areas of the ice with his high-end motor and determination.
In 25 games, Recine leads his club in scoring with 8 goals and 22 points, which also places him 7th in the league among 2002 birth year players. He recently suited up for the Ottawa Capitals and represented HEO at the annual Marlies Holiday Classic in Toronto, ON.
He was selected in the 2nd round, 18th overall by the Kanata Lasers in the 2017 CCHL Bantam Draft.
What his Coach says:
Julian is a quick, shifty player who works extremely hard and is difficult to play against. We have also relied on him to deliver for us offensively. We are not a team that scores a ton of goals, but he has certainly been one of our most consistent producers – Nathan Hewitt – Head Coach – Kanata Lasers Midget AAA
What the Scouts say:
Small forward who plays big and is not afraid to engage in battles. Great vision with good puck control and passing skills make him an integral part of the powerplay – Trevor Peters – Neutral Zone
Tremendous puck-handler who is dangerous when given time and space. He possesses unbelievable skill with the puck and can beat opposing players with slick moves – Conor Mulligan – HockeyProspect.com
