The OWHA is saddened to hear of the passing of Mike Shields on August 23, 2017.  Mike has been a volunteer with the Central York Girls Hockey Association/Aurora Panthers for over 20 years.   He’s been a Coach, Convenor, Vice President House League, initiated and coordinated the Queen of the House Tournament. Mike was President of the Panthers and most recently, officially assumed the role of Past President.  His leadership, contributions and commitment have left a powerful legacy for Female Hockey and have brought the CYGHA/Panthers great respect from the hockey community and the OWHA.  Our thoughts are with his family and friends and with the CYGHA/Aurora Panthers.
