The Nationals are your 11 - 12 SHL Champions!

The Nationals jumped out to a 5-1 lead after 1.5 innings of play...only to give up 12 unanswered runs.  They made up some of the difference in the top of the fifth thanks in part to a Brayden Mazzoni two-run home run. Alex Fierweger came on and shut the Brewers down in the bottom of the fifth. So they Championship game headed to the sixth inning with the score Brewers 13, Nationals 7. 

The Nats scored 7 runs in the top of the 6th to grab 14-13 lead!

But the Brewers weren't about to make it easy. In the bottom of the 6th the final two outs of the game were on attempted steals of home after passed balls. Brian Upton of the Nationals threw his body in front of the plate to tag out the would-be tying run on consecutive plays. Unbelievable!

For that champs...Mazzoni was 4-5 with 2B, HR and 4 runs scored, Andrew Dayton was 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored, and Fierweger pitched two scoreless innings for the win.
