Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

January 18, 2017, 6:30pm

Meeting was called to order by Ben Ward at 6:45pm.

Introductions.

2017 Board of Directors Elections.  The new board positions were filled with unanimous vote.

• WVMBL President: Garrett Mcpherson
• Vice President: Bran Holmes
• Treasurer: David Winstead
• Secretary: Andrew Koll
• 18+ Commissioner: Nick Elliot
• 30+ Commissioner: Louis Banuelos
• 40+ Commissioner: Kevin Palmer
• At large board members: Rocky Zachary (treasurer trainee), Chris McKay

Goals for 2017.  General discussion was held regarding goals for the new board.  Items discussed were primarily the discipline committee, league growth, and tournaments (specifically an 18+ Labor Day tournament)

2017 Team Fees.  At this time, it appears that fees should be unchanged from 2016.

Budget.  David will provide a preliminary 2017 budget for approval at the next meeting based upon team count estimates.

Calendar. The 2017 calendar was quickly reviewed and preliminary dates were set for the new player workout (Apr. 9) and the start of the 18+ season (June 4).

Pointstreak.  David and Andrew will hold a conference call with Pointstreak before the next meeting to get things kicked off for the upcoming season.

Discipline Committee.  Discussion was held regarding the discipline committee that did not come together in 2016.  There were a couple of incidents that would have benefited from a seated committee.  A better effort will be made in 2017 to have a committee in place prior to the start of play.  It was suggested that the league Vice President head up the committee.

Next Meeting.   Wednesday, February, 15, 2017, 6:30pm at Battlecreek Clubhouse.

Agenda Items: Tournaments, discipline committee, review and approve budget, teams and team fees, Pointstreak. Board of Director roles and responsibilities.
