The Bears Brett Garvey played his 289th regular season game on Sunday night in Pembroke. The Ashton Ontario native has played one more game than the previous record holder, Yannick Laliberte of the Hawkesbury Hawks.
Garvey began his career with the Brockville Braves playing 1 game in the 201//2012 season, 56 games in the 2012/2013 season & 52 games in the 2013/2014 season. Brett began the 20114/2015 season with Carleton Place, playing 20 games before he was traded to the Bears where he played 39 games. In 2015/2016 Garvey played all 62 games and this year he played 59 games to surpass the previous record of 288.
Garvey has scored 28 goals and 93 assists for 121 points in his CCHL career. This year has been his best statistically as he has scored 10 goals and 30 assists for 40 points.
