In late December my owner decided it would be a good idea to take me out during the slushy ice storm to go and visit with all the East Minor Tier 2 teams at the Hockey Dek in Springfield PA.

Let me tell you these guys had no problem getting there but were sure laughing when Pucky was slipping on the walkway.  Thank you to the Demon cheerleaders who went and got me doggie mittens so I would not have any problems when I leave.

I also had a chance to visit the Philadelphia Liberty when they were playing the NJ Alliance.

Philadelphia Liberty Red – With a 10-0 start and 92 goals scored who is going to stop these guys from lighting the lamp.6 guys have 10 goals scored and 2 more have 9.Paul Sloan and Kyle Mager are hanging out between the pipes and watching the show unfold in front of them.  The Liberty Red very well may be the Tier 2 team to beat this year.

Empire State Legends Gold – Under the leadership of Bobby Thomasatos these guys are going to be a contender.  Playing the old style of the Bauer Cyclones instilled by General Manager Ritchie Rich they were able to walk out with a 4-1-1 record.

Long Island Fireants – George Ugalde must have packed all the boys up into the soccer mom minivan he was driving to get all the boys down and back to Long Island through this storm. Though they went 3-3 on the day they promise they will not be as “Sawft” the next time they play.  They return to Delco this coming weekend for a 4 games series which is sure to be a barn burner.

Delco Demons Orange – When you talk about the Delco Demons Orange you can talk about two things their fans who I might add are the rowdiest group of ladies you will ever meet.  They do give fantastic belly rubs thanks to Mr Vinnie Barrone for allowing the lovely Dorothy to take care of me.  Since I was just at the groomer and got a little trim I must say I don’t have the joy of having all the silky hair I used to like  Rob Basquill.  Sorry buddy but this Bulldog is much better looking  then you are!

NJ Grizzlies – Had a very tough showing with a light roster but look to rebound as the season continues. Denis Jelcic will be able to help them find the magic they need so they can get out of the bottom portion of this division.

NJ Alliance – Well W’s in this division are expensive and Eddie Hogan and company are learning this is no easy task.  With a plethora of rookies Eddie is trying to get these guys to have a feel for the highly competitive AIHL and do look to be a team of the future.

As for now I am going to go enjoy some ALPO while I watch my favorite movie Slapshot followed by Most Valuable Primate.

By the way Jeff Kotcher if your reading this I need a new twig to chew on!
