The #15 seeded Shooters vs. one of the pre season favorites Runs House made for a great David vs. Goliath team storyline with both teams holding up their end of the bargain. Runs House started strong with Mike Fakuade swatting 5 of his 7 shots in the first half to set a strong precedent. This however, did not affect the Shooters, due to the fact they are Shooters. David Sachs proceeded to put the team on his back, making plays on defense and offense, on and off the ball.

The Shooters were able to take control of the game for awhile, stretching Runs House defense out, and making the extra pass. Sachs was especially efficient leading his team in major categories finishing with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Runs House however was too much, they had bench players producing, and an unstoppable Charles McKinney, who finished with 26 points and 4 assists. This included his usual display of athleticism but adding 4-7 from 3PT would end up breaking the Shooters back. They pulled away late and the dunk contest champion Rodney Metallus threw down a hammer late in the 4th that sealed the victory 79-67. Runs House would take the 2016 Summer CSL Championship after losing in the Final 4 last year, with Charles McKinney as the Finals MVP.
