Green Gaels Host Brampton Tonight

The Green Gaels finish off their long home stand this evening when the Brampton Excelsiors visit the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex tonight for an 8PM start.

Brampton marks the Gaels sixth consecutive home game before they leave the friendly confines of Rickard to visit the Markham Ironheads on Friday and the Orillia Kings on Sunday.

The Gaels look to keep their momentum rolling tonight, and they will be re-introducing Connor Van Ryn back into the lineup with his NCAA season finishing up. Van Ryn will look to help contribute on both ends of the floor and provide some added potency to the Gaels offense. He will rejoin Jeremy McWatters on the left side of the floor, who he had success with back in 2014, and provide another weapon for Gaels assistant coach Todd Collins to employ on the powerplay.

The Excelsiors make their way into Bowmanville coming off a weekend split, with a 12 - 7 victory over the Kahnawake Hunters and a 20 - 7 loss to the Akwesasne Indians. Brampton will be looking to even up their record at 4 - 4 on the season tonight, but will be in tough against a strong Gaels offense. Brampton currently sports the second worst GAA in the league, and will need to fix that this evening to slow down the Gaels.

Tickets for Green Gaels home games are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and students while children 12 and under are admitted free under the supervision of an adult. Kids, don't forget to bring your stick and helmet to go on the floor in between periods.
