Date: Mar 15, 2012
February 17, 2012– (Quebec, QC) - The Quebec Kebs today announced the return of one of their most storied players in team history to the roster with the signing of Quinnel Brown for the remainder of the season. Per team policy, the terms of the contract are confidential.
Brown, a 2007 graduate of Auburn, was the 2011 PBL Most Valuable Player last season. In his penultimate season, he averaged 20.5 pts., 7.7 rbs., 2.6 asts., and 2 stls., a game for the Kebs, as he led them to the conference finals. `Q`has just finished playing in Germany Pro A for Cuxhaven BasCats, averaging 14.5 pts. Brown is no stranger to Coach Robert Spon as he was a member of the Gary Steelheads in the IBL for the 2009 season, earning 1st team honors.
``We are very excited to have `Q` back in the fold as we are making a championship run,`said Coach Spon. ``He is a piece of the puzzle that we have been missing and I feel he will help us as we look to make a long playoff run.``
``I am glad to be back in Quebec,`` stated Brown. ``They have a great team already and I just want to come in and do all the little things to make us successful. I can`t wait to see old friends play in front of the great Kebs fans again.``
