In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Kiski Area escaped with a 4-3 victory over Westmont Hilltop.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Evan Cooper's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Kiski Area was paced on offense by Nicholas Wallace and Cooper, who combined for four points. Wallace tallied two goals and Cooper also added one goal and one assist.

Kiski Area also got points from Cooper, who also had one goal and one assist and Nicholas Hurley, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Kiski Area came via James Ayres and Brandon Stephens, who contributed one each.

Westmont Hilltop's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Kiski Area power plays. Westmont Hilltop forced Kiski Area goalie Alexander Ferraro to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Westmont Hilltop could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Westmont Hilltop was helped by Nate Shorto, who grabbed two goals. Shorto scored the first of his two goals at 12:43 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Westmont Hilltop. Michael Lamison assisted on the tally. Shorto's next tally made the score 2-1 Westmont Hilltop with 19:06 left in the third period. Nicholas McQuillan picked up the assist. Westmont Hilltop additionally got points from Lamison, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Westmont Hilltop received assists from Logan Webb, who had two.

Alexander Ferraro made 37 saves for Kiski Area on 40 shots. Kiski Area incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Westmont Hilltop's David Cavrak stopped 17 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Westmont Hilltop registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
