New England Wolves Independent team defenseman Dillon Gargano has committed to Worcester State University for the fall of 2015.  The 6’1, 215 defenseman who hails from Wakefield, MA is a strong shut down defender with superb skating ability and puck skills.  “Dillon is a hard working kid with tremendous skill,” states Independent team coach Brett Tryder.   “He played well against our tougher opponents which says a lot about a player’s ability to play at the next level.” Gargano posted a 9-22-31 stat line in 54 games.   “Dillon has size, strength and mobility”, states AHI program director Steve Jacobs.  “He plays with a fiery intensity and compete level and is a workhorse capable of playing big minutes while contributing at both ends of the ice”.

“Throughout my hockey career I never really had a dream school.  I just knew wanted to play competitive college hockey.  I feel the MASCAC league is a great fit for me.  I was beyond excited when Worcester State offered me a spot.  I am really excited to continue my hockey career there.  I wouldn’t have been given this great opportunity if it wasn’t for my family, the New England Wolves program, the coaching staff and my amazing teammates who are like family to me”,  enthusiastically states Dillon
