KINGSTON's Gaffney (A) deadly on offense in 2-1 win against SOUTHWEST

Behind a great game by Brianna Gaffney (A), who had two goals, KINGSTON defeated SOUTHWEST, 2-1.

Gaffney (A) scored at 13:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 KINGSTON and again while 14:16 into the third to make the score 2-1 KINGSTON.

KINGSTON was led by goalie Jensen Murphy, who finished with 33 saves while allowing one goal. Murphy certainly lowered her goals against average, which was 3.59 entering the contest.

In addition, KINGSTON received assists from Danielle Wark, Kassidy Ford, Deena Birney, and Mariah McCue, who contributed one each.

SOUTHWEST's offense rang up 34 shots on KINGSTON's net.

SOUTHWEST was led by Jenna Henry, who scored the team's only goal. Henry scored 2:15 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Angeline Taiariol (A) picked up the assist.

KINGSTON incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Hanna Slater made 17 saves for SOUTHWEST on 19 shots. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
