Pensacola downs Knoxville, 3-1

Mitchell Good finished with one point to lead the Pensacola Ice Flyers to a 3-1 victory over the Knoxville Ice Bears.

Pensacola evened the best of three series at 1-1 and forced a deciding game three.

The Ice Flyers kept Knoxville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Bryan Hince made 32 saves on 35 shots.

Others who scored for Pensacola included Drew Baker and John Dunbar, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Pensacola were Brett Lutes and Ryan Salvis, who contributed one each.

The Ice Bears relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as David Segal, Peter Neal and Mark Van Vliet took 10 of the team's 19 shots.

In addition, Knoxville received assists from Brady Vandenberk, who had one.

Pensacola's Ross MacKinnon stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that he faced. The Ice Flyers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Knoxville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
