(MISSISSAUGA,ON) - The MegaCity Power Pro-Am has just concluded its 4th week of high intensity games. The Pro-Am is being held at Ryerson University's Kerr hall, it is a platform for basketball players to showcase their talents and play competitive games during the summer. On the first day of the Pro-Am, NBL Canada COO Ian McCarthy addressed the players and endorsed his belief in the Pro-Am. He stated that the NBL and the Pro-Am was great for Canadian basketball and the development of Canadian players.
The Pro-Am has seen a vast array of talent, headlined by former Toronto Raptors guard Alvin Willams, Team Canada members Jevohn Shepherd & Jermaine Anderson as well as Toronto natives Olu Ashaolu & Devoe Joseph. NBL players from the Moncton Miracles and Mississauga Power have also made significant contributions to their teams. The Green team is currently leading the lead with a record of 4-0.
The Pro-Am continues this Tuesday July 9th and will continue every Tuesday and Sunday until July 23rd. Admission is $2, children and students are eligible for free admission.
