Seton Hall opened its season with a tough 8–2 loss to St. Thomas Aquinas College. Despite a strong second period, the Pirates struggled to contain STAC’s high-powered offense, which exploded for multiple goals in the first and third frames.
Captain Ryan Uhlhorn scored one of Seton Hall’s two goals, showing his leadership and scoring ability early in the season. Forward Lucas Spinelli had a goal in the opening frame, the first Seton Hall goal of the 2025-2026 season.
Goaltender Joe Salvador faced a barrage of shots and made several key saves, but STAC’s relentless attack proved too much. The Pirates will look to regroup and tighten up defensively ahead of their next matchup.
