On a perfect Thursday evening in South Amboy, Sportika blew out SI Orioles by the score of 12-0 in 7 innings. Sportika had everything going for them in this one. Sportika jumped out to an early lead but blew the game open in an action packed 3rd inning.

Eli Gries-Smith who had a great game started off the 5 run third inning with a solo homer to give Sportika a 4-0 lead. What followed next was was an incredible display of base running by Joey Gmitter and Hunter Rivera.

Gmittter successfully stole home due to Rivera successfully beating a rundown. A wild throw almost allowed Rivera to score as well on the same play. Aggressive base running was one of the keys to victory for Sportika as they swiped 7 bases in the game. Hunter Del Guercio led the team in RBIs with Eli Gries-Smith and Torin McKenzie with big games as well.

Ivan Navarro got the start for Sportika and delivered another masterful performance. The College of Mount Saint Vincent senior possesses a 0.56 ERA through his first four outings of the summer. Anthony Matteis pitched 3 innings of one hit ball in order to get the save.
