Allan Cup Hockey looking at return to Brantford

The Brantford Blast are one win away from advancing to the Allan Cup Hockey championship.
Facing the Dundas Real McCoys in an opening-round best-of-five playoffs series, Brantford holds a 2-0 lead after beating Dundas 6-2 on the road on Friday and 3-0 at home on Sunday.
The Blast can clinch a spot in the league final with a win on Friday in Dundas at 7:30 p.m.
If necessary, Game 4 would be Sunday at 8 p.m. at the civic centre and Game 5 would be Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Dundas.
With Game 1 tied at 2-2 after 20 minutes, Brantford scored twice in the second period and two more times in the third to secure the win.
Scott Hotham (two assists), Christopher Campoli (2A), Chris Lawrence (1G, 1A) and Jordan Owens (2G) each got two points in Game 1 for the Blast. Timothy Kennedy, Nathan Pageau and Andrew Radjenovic were the team’s other goal scorers as Ryan DeMelo made 37 saves to earn the win in goal.
Brantford’s power play was key in the victory as it went 4-for-5. Dundas was 0-for-6.
In Game 2, DeMelo was outstanding, making 35 saves to record the shutout.
Timothy Kennedy (1G, 1A), Jarrett Konkle (1G, 1A) and Evan McGrath got two points for the Blast as St. George’s Cam Fergus rounded out the scoring.
