SPEARFISH, SD – It’s Christmas time and the Sasquatch have another present to give Spearfish fans this week. It’s another Sasquatch Spotlight presented by Superior Auto Solutions. This week’s spotlight is on Patrick Gumto. Gumto is a right-handed pitcher from California University of Pennsylvania where he is a sophomore studying Finances. Gumto originally hails from Allison Park, PA.

Brent - “Who is on your all-time Baseball Mount Rushmore and Why?”

Patrick - “Mike Trout, best hitter I have seen in my lifetime and has all the tools needed. Babe

Ruth, because come on it’s the Babe. Mariano Rivera, greatest closer of all time with

the nastiest cutter. Roy Halladay because of the consistency throughout his career and

a perfect game and postseason no-hitter.”

Brent - “What or who inspired you to get into the game of baseball and Why did you choose to continue playing baseball into college?”

Patrick - “My parents got me into the game and ever since I've started playing, I haven’t wanted to stop. Playing in college was always a dream of mine ever since I can remember and I

never wanted to stop playing.”

Brent -  “If baseball doesn’t work out for you, what would you do for a career?”

Patrick - “I’m a Finance major so I would probably become a financial advisor or analyst."

Brent -  “What is your Favorite Pro Baseball Team” 

Patrick - “Pittsburgh Pirates”

Brent - “What is your go-to karaoke song and Why?”

Patrick -  “Africa by Toto, east sing along for everyone listening so they don’t have to hear my

voice.”

Brent - “If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you bring and Why?”

Patrick -  “Tent to have somewhere dry to sleep at night, peanut butter because I love it, and a box of matches to hopefully start a fire to keep me warm and signal help.”

Brent - “The world is ending because of a zombie apocalypse, what do you do?”

Patrick - “Getting as much food and water as I can and bunkering down in my house."

Brent - “What is your favorite activity to do outside of baseball?”

Patrick - “I like to play other sports, I played basketball when I was younger so I still like to play

when I can.”

Brent - “What toppings belong and don’t belong on a pizza?”

Patrick - “Everything is fine on a pizza except for pineapples.”

Brent - “What is your goal(s) for this summer?”

Patrick - “To learn as much as I can and become a better person and player.”
