St. Clair Green Giants open the season with a 3-game sweep of the Galion Graders

The St. Clair Green Giants swept the double header on Thursday, June 6th against the Galion Graders. Also completing the series sweep and moving to 3-0 on the year. 

 

The Green Giants won game 1 of the double header 5-4 in walk off fashion for the second game in a row. The Green Giants fought from a 4-1 deficit to tie it and eventually win it in extra innings thanks to a Alex Crump sacrifice fly. 

 

Alex Crump went 2-2 with a walk and 3RBI. 

Mitchael Dyer picked up his first win as a Green Giant in relief. 

 

The Green Giants won game 2 of the doubleheader 4-2. Jancarlo Llaser got the start and the win. 

 

Llaser went 5.2IP allowing 3 hits 2 earned runs while striking out 5. 

 

Nolan Tucker led the Green Giants offensively going 2-3 with a run scored a double and an RBI. 

 

The Green Giants travel to Siena Heights University tomorrow to take on the Michigan Monarchs for a 3 game series over the weekend. First pitch is at 7:05pm
