DAWGS SIGN FORWARD CAMERON DIMMITT
Third-year pro to make SPHL debut
ROANOKE, Va. – The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Thursday that forward Cameron Dimmitt has been signed to a contract.
Dimmitt is in his third professional season after playing his college hockey at Indiana Tech and Davenport University. He has spent parts of the last three seasons in the FHL split between the Danville Dashers and Watertown Wolves. Dimmitt was a teammate of Roanoke assistant coach Michael Harris in the 2016-17 season with Danville and played with Dawgs defenseman Nate O’Brien in Watertown.
Dimmitt opened up the 2018-19 season playing in Sweden and had six goals and 12 assists for Boro/Vetlanda before returning to America and rejoining Watertown in December. With the Wolves this season he has two goals and eight assists in eight games.
The Rail Yard Dawgs will return to action on Friday night at home against the Birmingham Bulls. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 PM at Berglund Center and the pregame show on the Haley Toyota Rail Yard Dawgs Hockey Network begins at 6:50 PM.
