September 14, 2018, Mississauga, ON – The Ontario Junior Hockey League and the OJHL Foundation
are proud to introduce StoneRidge Insurance Brokers as the presenting sponsor of the Foundation’s
FirstAssist Program, a life skills and mental wellbeing program.
The program includes a comprehensive seminar designed to provide players with information about mental
health they can apply to their own lives in order to maintain good health.

StoneRidge Insurance Brokers. “We are proud to support these young athletes on their journey to achieve
personal success in their sport as well as life.”
A support campaign and resources will be provided to the OJHL’s 22 teams for their players, parents and
billets.
"As we all know, our players are elite athletes but they are also young people that have to deal with many
different situations,” said Foundation Chair Scott McCrory. “We at the OJHL Foundation would like to
prepare them to deal with whatever may arise in their day-to-day lives."
A release will be forthcoming in the near future regarding the official launch of the OJHL Foundation and
its programming.

Founded in 2013, the OJHL Foundation is a non-profit organization designed to provide support and
programs to its players, member teams and alumni. The OJHL Foundation was created to provide assistance
and opportunities for the most important aspect of the league – the players. All funds raised will support
and reward our athletes with programs, scholarships and financial assistance.

Canadian Junior Hockey League with 22 member clubs. A proud member of the CJHL and Ontario Hockey
Association, the OJHL was originally named the Ontario Provincial Junior ‘A’ Hockey League after it was
formed out of the Central Junior ‘B’ Hockey League in 1993-94. With a long and storied history of
developing players for the next level, including USports, the NCAA, CHL, minor pro ranks and the NHL,
the OJHL had more than 135 commitments in 2017-18, including 65 NCAA Division I scholarships.
