Majors batter Cardinals in blowout

HAMILTON – The London Majors battered Hamilton Cardinals pitchers in a 14-4 win Tuesday night at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium.

RJ Fuhr had four hits and three runs atop the London lineup. Byron Reichstein drove in four runs and scored twice, Michael Ambrose and Keith Kandel had two RBI and a run apiece, Chris McQueen singled once and scored three times, Evan Britt went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, Cleveland Brownlee singled, doubled and scored, and Kyle Gormandy had an RBI.

Starlin Peralta (4-1) picked up the win, allowing four runs on seven hits over seven innings. He walked two and struck out eight.

For Hamilton, Jake Foden went 4-for-5 with two runs, while Chris Beer, Grant Arnold, Jon Dziomba and Matt Casburn all drove in a run.

Josh Freeman (3-2) took the loss, giving up nine runs (two earned) on six hits with four walks in 1.2 innings.

London improved to 12-7, and Hamilton dropped to 6-12.
