Kamloops BC-- The Cascades were the fourth seeded team headed in to the round robin, but when the dust settled, they were left on top headed to the league championship game. Coming off of a tough 0-4 trip to Lethbridge to play the Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs, the Cascades were able to flip their momentum for the most important time of the year.

Game One: Led by seven shutout innings of 2 hit ball thrown by starter Riley Ens, 4-4 and 3-3 days from Dan Rogers and Riley Jepson, respectively, the Cascades routed the Okanagan College Coyotes 10-0, who they did not beat once in the regular season.

Game Two: Heading in, the Cascades were expecting a pitching duel between Conference All Stars Dylan Emmons and TRU's Tyler Hodder. UFV put an end to that thought with 15 hits against the Wolfpack as Emmons went the distance for a 12-5 victory against TRU.

Game Three: Playoff baseball is always full of the unexpected. Calgary was the last placed team headed in to the playoffs, however they put up a mighty fight against UFV on this day. The Cascades were trailing by one with two outs left, when Matt Legg hit a heroic game tying home run evening the score. Just two batters later Donovan Moorman completed his career day with his fifth hit of the day, walking off the Dinos and giving UFV an 8-7 win.

Game Four: Against the seven-time defending champion Prairie Baseball Academy, the Cascades showed their might with a conclusive 12-0 shutout victory. Parker Logan threw a complete game surrendering just three hits, while Colin Kellington shined on offence leading the way with four hits. Stephen Horner capped off the victory with a three-run home run in the late innings.

Game Five: In a battle for first place in the round robin against the VIU Mariners, the Cascades got off to a rocky start trailing 3-0 after the top of the first inning. However from that point on, the Cascades took control and did not give it back. Highlighted by a grand slam by CCBC Hitter of the Year Riley Jepson, the Cascades put up 12 runs on 13 hits, winning the game 12-8.

The Cascades are now preparing for the CCBC Championship Game May 13th at one P.M., opponent is still TBD.
