There is usually an adjustment period for rookies as they make the jump from Major Bantam into HEO Midget AAA, for Sean McGurn, it did not take long for him to get comfortable.  Playing big minutes, and in all situations, the Ottawa, ON native has been one of many bright spots for the Ottawa Jr Senators Midget AAA program this season.

Mcgurn is an effective two-way player with a high-end motor and compete level.  He has good vision, and the ability to carry the puck and draw double coverage to create space for his teammates.  He can make things happen both due to his vision and puck-handling ability, but also by driving to the net.

In 22 games of action, the Ottawa Jr 67’s Bantam AAA product has 23 points (9G, 14A), sitting 6th in overall league scoring, and 4th among 2002 born players.  He has also dressed in 4 games with the CCHL’s Ottawa Jr Senators, picking up his first career CCHL assist in Ottawa’s victory over the Rockland Nationals on Oct 25/17.  

He was selected in the 1st round, 9th overall by the Ottawa Jr Senators in the 2017 CCHL Bantam Draft.
