Josh Davenport // Forward // Goodrich, MI
EMU Hockey is proud to announce that Josh Davenport, F (Goodrich, MI) will be joining the Eagles for the 2017-2018. Josh is coming to Ypsilanti by way of the Vancouver (WA) Rangers of the WSHL. Being a high energy type forward, Josh hopes to contribute with his hard working brand of offensive hockey. “I consider myself a hard working, team first type player. Willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win. Come this March I’m expecting us to make a run at the national tournament,” says Davenport. When asked why EMU, Josh replied “After some consideration, my family and I felt EMU would be the best place for me to continue playing hockey while getting a world class education.”
Jared Pardoski // Forward // Elmhurst, IL
The last time Jared Pardoski, F (Elmhurst, IL) saw game action was in 2013-2014 with the 18U Oakland Junior Grizzles. With his USHL hopes fading, Pardoski took a step back from playing, and more recently had turned his attention to coaching. Last season he was an assistant with the 2002 Belle Tire team, but the competitive drive to play was something that never disappeared. By chance, the EMU staff had reached out to Jared in early 2017, and the rest has fallen into place. A self proclaimed gym rat, being in shape wasn't an issue for Pardoski. Getting back up to on ice game speed took some adjusting, but it wasn't long before things came together. The quick progress is due to Pardoski’s work ethic. “He’s no frills. Not flashy, but he’s gotten the results we need so far. I’m a huge fan of his style of play. We don't expect anyone will outwork him this year, he’s not afraid to muck and grind," beamed coach Joseph Allen.
Pardoski is just one of the many new faces on the Eagles roster this year. When asked why EMU, he seemed confident is his response. “The way the staff described their vision for the team, the environment and attitude for this coming year, it really drew me in. I’m the type of person that wont stop working until a goal is met. And thats the same mentality this program has. Initially I was all in on the hockey alone, but academically Eastern is great too. Currently I’m enrolled in the College of Business and love it.”
Tim Conlin // Forward // Gardiner, NY
Eagles hockey proudly welcomes Tim Conlin, F (Gardiner, NY) to school and to the ice for the 2017-2018 campaign. During the 2015-2016 season Conlin played for the Islanders Hockey Club in the USPHL Elite, where he put up 20 points in 42 games. Tim expects the new look Eagles to bring a solid work ethic to the table this year. “We have depth this year. I expect us to outwork, outlast our opponents deep into games. Personally I feel that I bring a solid attitude and work ethic to the team. I'm really excited,” gushed Conlin. Skating in a hockey rich area like Michigan is something else that Tim looks forward to. “When I was presented the chance to come to EMU for school and hockey, I had to take it,” added Conlin.
