PART 2 Pearson wants to finish Jr. career in Owen Sound

The Cyclones would like to announce several player signings for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
Returning forwards from last year’s Cherrey Cup Champions are Blake Nichol, Caleb Warren, Chayse Herrfort, Brady Anderson, Jakob Lee, Cullen Mercer, Ben VanOoteghem, Tommy Hoogaars, Mitch Deelstra, and Brendan Cederberg.
On defence, Keaton Willis, Max Coyle, Brenden Clayton, Danny Skinner and Garrett Russell will return.
Returning in goal will be Justin Hergott.
New additions to last year’s squad include forward Zack Trott, goaltender Max Wright and defenceman Logan Swanton.
Zack Trott, 17 year-old Soo Greyhounds draft pick out from Honeywood, ON, played his 2016-17 campaign for the Stayner Siskens of the PJHL. Trott scored 35 goals and 67 points in 41 regular season games for the Siskens, good for third on the team in overall points. He also tallied 13 goals and 19 points in 13 playoff games.
Max Wright, 18 year-old North Bay Battalion draft pick from Waterloo, ON, played his 2016-17 season with the Cambridge Winterhawks of the GOJHL. Wright started 37 regular season games last year, picking up 22 wins, 3 shutouts while carrying a 3.06 GAA and a 0.904 save percentage. Both he and Hergott will provide a strong tandem in goal heading into the 2017-18 season for the Cyclones.
Logan Swanton, 17 year-old (18 in November) from Owen Sound, ON, played his 2016-17 campaign for the Kincardine Bulldogs of the PJHL. He tallied 1 goal and 9 points in 35 regular season games and 1 assist in 6 playoff games for the Bulldogs. The Owen Sound native also appeared in 3 games for the Cyclones last season.
With the final roster spots yet to be determined, rookie camp opens this evening with main camp set to begin on Saturday, August 19th.
