DAY 5
On the fifth day of the tournament we needed to find out who would be playing in the medal games. Here’s your recap of everything Bantam Nationals for Thursday, August 3rd.
Game 29: British Columbia vs Alberta
In a game to decide who plays for gold British Columbia and Alberta did not disappoint. Fans got their money’s worth for this one as bodies were flying, finesse and skills were showcased and goaltenders made flashy show stopping saves. This barn burner was tied 4-4 and needed overtime to sort out the victor. In the end British Columbia beat Alberta with a final score of 7-4.
Game 30: Saskatchewan vs Manitoba
In a rematch from Wednesday evening Saskatchewan and Manitoba put on another fine show for the sold out crowd at Kinsmen Arena. Both
goaltenders worked hard to keep the scoring low, but Saskatchewan ultimately won 6-4 and moves on to the B side gold medal game vs Nova
