The Oakville Rock picked up a much needed win at home Monday night. They did it convincingly too, with an 11-4 win over the Brooklin Redmen. Brooklin opened the scoring just 32 seconds in on a goal by Austin Murphy, but after that it was all Oakville who filled the Brooklin net 7 times in the first period.

It was the first win on home floor for the Rock, who were playing their 4th game in eight nights and their first win during that stretch, improving their record to 2-3-1. Forward Wes Berg led the charge early, picking up his hat trick in the first period. Sophomore Eric Fannell also had a big night, contributing with 4 assists.

Goaltender Nick Rose was perfect in the second period and allowed 3 in the 3rd and earning his second win.

Oakville will now turn their attention to the Brampton Excelsiors, who they tied a week ago on home floor. The Rock travel to Brampton Thursday, before returning home next Monday at 8PM where they'll welcome the Six Nations Chiefs.
