Owls Rally to upset NYU

Keene, NH-  The Keene State College Men's Ice Hockey Club overcame an early 2-0 deficit to beat Regional rival, New York University 5-3 on Saturday night at Keene ICE.  NYU came into the game ranked second in the Northeast;  KSC is ranked third in the region.

The 1st period saw the Violets post a quick 2-0 lead and outshoot Keene 10-2.  Carlin Testa (23 saves) helped to settle things down for the Owls in the 2nd period while Chris O'Hara and Kyle Carignan scored power play goals to tie the game.

Andrew Karlin scored quickly in the 3rd period before NYU tied the game on a power play of their own.  Josh Bell scored the eventual game-winner just over midway through the third and Cooper Hines put the game away with an empty net goal in the final minute.

Keene State (11-1-1 Overall, 4-0 Division) travels to Durham next Saturday to visit UNH in both team's final game of the semester.
