The SaskAlta Hockey league has expanded for the 2016 - 2017 hockey season. They welcome back the Two Hills Longhorns who took a leave of absence for the 2015 - 2016 season and they also welcome the addition of the St Walburg Eagles and the Viking Gas Kings. The league now comprises of 15 teams.
