Steven Octave went 0-1, sparking the Seacoast Mavericks (33-15) to a 3-2 victory over the Brockton Rox (23-24) on Friday at Leary Field.

Clayton Chatham struck out five hitters en route to the the Seacoast Mavericks win. Chatham allowed one earned run on five hits and three walks over six innings.

David Griffin (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
