The North Shore Navigators get on top of the Seacoast Mavericks early but can't hang on in 4-1 loss

The North Shore Navigators (7-14) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Seacoast Mavericks (14-7) roared back to steal a 4-1 victory at Fraser Field.

While the North Shore Navigators led until the fourth inning, the Seacoast Mavericks worked their way back and took the lead on a sacrifice fly by Steven Octave.

Jacob Lebel was solid at the plate for the Seacoast Mavericks. Lebel went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.

Jack Fossand picked up the win for the Seacoast Mavericks. Fossand allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings of work.

Speros Varinos (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
