The MCBL Giants take out the Gaithersburg Giants with help from STRINHORN, 1-0

STRINHORN went 2-3, helping the MCBL Giants (1-0) to a 1-0 victory over the Gaithersburg Giants (0-1) on Friday at Criswell Automotive Field.

He singled in the third and seventh innings.

The MCBL Giants had no answer for Alex Ward, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Ward held the MCBL Giants hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

GRIFFIN got the win for the MCBL Giants. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Nick DeCarlo (0-1) took the loss for the Gaithersburg Giants. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
