Frazetta nets hat trick, leads Freeport to 7-4 win over Wheeling Park

Michael Frazetta netted a hat trick to lead Freeport over Wheeling Park, 7-4.

Frazetta's first goal came 16:06 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:48 into the second and at 5:58 into the third.

Freeport found itself short handed often, totaling 24 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays.

Freeport additionally got points from Stone Haberstroh, who also registered three goals and two assists. Tanner Hill also scored for Freeport. In addition, Freeport received assists from Robert Reichenbaugh, who had one.

Wheeling Park forced Freeport goalie Katelyn Hill to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Wheeling Park was helped by Luke Knollinger, who finished with one goal and one assist. Knollinger scored 9:49 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Zachary Kahle assisted on the tally. Wheeling Park also got points from Nikita Slivchenko, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Elijah Pissos, who also had one goal and one assist. Wheeling Park also got a goal from Jason Gwynn as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wheeling Park were Logan Eberhard, Jefferson Gwynn, and Shawn Guthoerl, who contributed one each.

Hill recorded 33 saves for Freeport. Freeport registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Dorothy Romanek made 22 saves for Wheeling Park on 29 shots. Wheeling Park incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
