2015 Sudbury Silver Stick

This article has more to do with the names of the players that had played in the Silver Stick Finals and less to do with the Tournamnent games and such. I'm definitely not a historian, but I've always been intrigued by the names of people that have played throughout the years. I have tracked all of the programs and/or names of the players from every year except the first in 1963.
1979
847 players played that year, and eventually 24 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Mary Petrossi and Mike Benedict were Co-Tournament directors that year. Of the players that went on to the NHL, there were some high profile players. Some of them are Brian Bellows, Shawn Burr, Ed Olcyzk and Al Iafrate
1978
905 players played that year, and eventually 23 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Mike Benedict was the Tournament Director that year. Some prominent NHLers that year were Dale Hawerchuk, Peter Sidorkiewicz, Craig Simpson and Gary Suter.
1977
882 players played that year, and eventually 15 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Nick Bandescu, Gunter Schultz and Mike Benedict were Co-Tournament Directors. Some prominent NHLers that year were local great Mike Dark (Sarnia, ONT), Kelly Miller and Kevin Miller.
1976
840 players played that year, and eventually 21 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Nick Bandescu and Gunter Schultz were Co-Tournament Directors. Some prominent NHLers that year were Ron Francis, Steve Konroyd and Jamie Macoun.
1975
901 players played that year, and eventually 18 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Nick Bandescu and Ron Flanagan were Co-Tournament Directors. Some prominent NHLers that year were Jim Fox, Glenn Healy and Basil McRae.
1974
995 players played that year, and eventually 12 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Ron Flanagan was the Tournament Director that year. Some prominent NHLers that year were Dino Ciccarelli, Keith Crowder and Dave Hannan.
1973
882 players played that year, and eventually 24 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Ron Flanagan was the Tournament Director. Some prominent NHLers that year were Tim Bernhardt, Tim Higgins, and also Dale and Dave Hunter.
1972
885 players played that year, and eventually 27 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Ron Flanagan was the Tournament Director. Some prominent NHLers that year were John Baby, Ron Duguay and Greg Millen. Also, Mark Wells who went on to play on the 1980 Miracle on Ice US Olympic team played in Port Huron.
1971
905 players played that year, and eventually 24 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Aaron Hyde was the Tournament Director. Some prominent NHLers that year were, Mike Crombeen, Craig Hartsburg and Dale McCourt.
1970
1035 players played that year, and eventually 35 of them played at least a game in the NHL. This was the first year that we had over 1000 players. Dick McGrath was the Tournament Director. Some prominent NHLers that year were Tony McKegney, Bobby Smith and Doug Wilson.
1969
982 players played that year, and eventually 29 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Dick McGrath was the Tournament Director. Some of the prominent NHLers that year were Frank Bathe, Bruce Boudreau, Mike Eaves and the only player (so far) from Port Huron Mike McDougal.
1968
954 players played that year, and eventually 40 of them played at least a game in the NHL. By far the most percentage wise and number wise that moved on to the NHL. Guy Provost was the Tournament Director. Some prominent NHLers that year were Mike Crombeen, Dave Maloney and Rick Middleton.
1967
918 players played that year, and eventually 32 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Dr. Harold Willis and Guy Provost were Co-Tournament Directors. Some prominent NHLers that year were Rick Green, Mark Howe, Marty Howe and Morris Titanic.
1966
769 players played that year, and eventually 22 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Dr. Harold Willis was the Tournament Director. Some prominent NHLers that year were Rick Martin, Robbie Moore and Denis Potvin.
1965
557 players played that year, and eventually 16 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Dr. Harold Willis was the Tournament Director. Some prominent NHLers that year were Jamie Hislop, Glen Goldup and Steve Shutt.
1964
405 players played that year, and eventually 14 of them played at least a game in the NHL. Dr. Harold WIllis was the Tournament Director. Some prominent NHLers that year were Al McDonough, Wayne Merrick and Vic Teal.
1963
