After a week of tough, exciting lacrosse the final six were set to play on the final day of the 2015 Founders' Cup at the Max Bell Centre in Calgary, AB.
Starting at 11:45am Sunday morning, the Saskatchewan S.W.A.T. took on the Manitoba Blizzard for the Tier 2 Championship, Larry Bishop Trophy. The Blizzard clinched the Tier 2 championship with a 9-6 victory over the S.W.A.T.
Later in the afternoon, Host Calgary Mountaineers faced BC's Coquitlam Adanacs for the Bronze Medal. Home floor advantage sure paid off as the Moutaineers finished their 2015 Founders' Cup run capturing the bronze medal with a 9-6 win over the Adanacs.
The 2015 Founders' Cup concluded with the battle for gold and the title of national Junior 'B' champion, where the Akwesasne Indians and the Seneca War Chiefs faced off. It took overtime to declare the national champions as the Akwesasne Indians emerged victorious with a 9-6 victory over the Seneca War Chiefs.
It was a great tournament and finals full of no holds barred, leave it all on the floor lacrosse - truly show casing the best Junior 'B' lacrosse being played in Canada.
