Photo Credit: Bryan Young | In Toronto, the No. 6 seed Maple Leafs took a 2-0 series lead after beating the No. 3 Brantford Red Sox 7-2 Sunday afternoon.

Leafs third baseman Jonathan Solazzo had four hits and finished a triple short of the cycle to lead the offence. He drove in four and scored twice.

Second baseman Dan Marra had two hits, an RBI and scored once, first baseman Jon Waltenbury had a single and scored twice, and shortstop Connor Lewis had three hits and a run.

Brett van Pelt (1-0) went the distance, scattering two runs on nine hits, striking out four and walking three.

For Brantford, shortstop Brandon Dailey had a home run and two RBI, second baseman Benjamin Bostick and third baseman Jeff Hunt each had two hits.

Nathan Forer (0-1) took the loss, going four innings and allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking one.
