USA Hockey has named new Janesville Jets defenseman Garrett Cecere to the 2011 U.S. Under-17 Select Team that will compete at the 2011 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament Aug. 9-13, in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The 2011 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament will include teams from the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Switzerland and the United States.
Cerere is from West Des Moines, Iowa, and played last year for Shattuck St. Mary's in Faribault, Minn. He will report to Janesville August 21st with the rest of the 2011-12 Jets training camp players.
Cecere is very excited about the opportunity to represent his country in this great international tournament.
