Get ready B.C. lacrosse fans!  High-energy, high-skilled, intense lacrosse action is coming your way. One of the oldest and most prestigious trophies in Canada’s sports history, The Minto Cup is returning to British Columbia for the 2014 Minto Cup championship.

Hosted by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association (BCLA) and the BC Junior 'A' Lacrosse League (BCJALL) in conjunction with the Langley Events Centre, the Canadian Lacrosse Association's (CLA) Canadian Junior 'A' National Championship will start it's on Saturday August 16th when the Ontario Champions, Six Nations Arrows take on BC and Western Final Champions, Coquitlam Adanacs.

"The Langley Events Centre is a great stage for the 2014 Minto Cup - we are ready to showcase some of the best Canadian lacrosse action here in B.C." said Ken Wood, BCJALL Commissioner.  "The BCLA and BCJALL, in conjunction with the Langley Events Centre staff, are excited to host the 2014 Minto Cup at the Langley Events Centre."

"We look forward to welcoming the Ontario and Western Final champions to our facility," commented Jared Harman - Director, Business Development Ten Feet Sports and Entertainment Ltd | Langley Events Centre.  "Trust us when we say that you will not want to miss this event - the best of the best in Junior 'A' Canadian lacrosse will hit the floor at the Langley Events Centre and competition will be fierce."

"The Minto Cup has returned to a best-of-seven final series in an East versus West format; I am positive Canadian lacrosse fans are in for an action-packed seven games series of premier lacrosse," said Joey Harris, CLA President.  "With the changes to the Minto Cup format, B.C.-based fans have already witnessed some great lacrosse when the Coquitlam Adanacs and the Calgary Junior Mountaineers faced off in the best-of-five Western Final series, vying to be the West representative at this year's Minto Cup.  That same level of premier lacrosse will undoubtedly continue through to the Minto Cup final series.  The BCLA and BCJALL have a rich hosting history and know what it takes to put on top-rate national championship" continued Harris.

The Minto Cup features some of the top Junior 'A' lacrosse players in the country and the world.  It continues to be one of the top amateur sporting events in Canada each year, and this year will be no exception.
