The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (16-15) jumped out to an early lead on the Torrington Titans (14-14) and captured a 22-1 victory on Wednesday at Vineyard Baseball Park.

With 15 runs in the first three innings, the Marthas Vineyard Sharks left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A solo home run by Ryan Kelly, a groundout by Jon Mayer, and an RBI double by Steve Buckley during the first inning and an RBI single by Kelly, a single by Kelly, a single by Brian Campbell, a hit by pitch, and a solo home run by Mayer in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks.

Kelly had a hot bat for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. Kelly went 4-5, drove in one and scored four runs.

Nick Fuller struck out 10, paving the way for a the Marthas Vineyard Sharks win. Fuller allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over six innings.

Mike Bonaiuto ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in one inning, walked two and struck out none.
