An exceptional effort by Carson Helms hoisted the Nashua Silver Knights (13-13) to a 6-3 win in eight innings over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (15-14) on Saturday at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Helms blasted two home runs for the Nashua Silver Knights. Helms went 3-3 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Helms homered in the first and third innings.

The Nashua Silver Knights got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. A three-run home run by Helms delivered the runs in the first. The Nashua Silver Knights had three hits in the inning.

Sam Nepiarsky improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Nashua Silver Knights. He allowed three runs over five innings. Nepiarsky struck out two, walked two and gave up eight hits.

Soren Hanson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
