Kent, WA – The Seattle Impact has joined the Major Arena Soccer League, a 24-team Arena Soccer league with teams in the US and Mexico, and will play their inaugural season at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA. The official announcement will be made at the ShoWare Center Club Lounge at: 625 W James St, Kent, WA 98032 on July 8th. The press conference is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.

Bellevue, Wash, native and Seattle Pacific University Alumni, Dion Earl is the sole-owner of the Seattle Impact. Earl brings over 10 years of business experience and financial stability.

“My dreams of bringing a professional indoor soccer team to Seattle have become true,” said Earl, who resides in Kent.

“The time is right, with the great work that the Sounders do, coupled with the excitement of the World Cup, it just feels like the right time for us. We were able to work with the ShoWare Center management team and secure a lease with a world-class facility; doing that was the last piece of the puzzle. We are excited for this opportunity.”

An announcement about the coaching staff and administrative team will be made available during the press conference. Tryouts and signings will be released once the free agency period begins. Team schedules and the league’s playoff format will be released in early September.
