The Pembroke Lumber Kings' Trent Durocher scored 8:13 into overtime to beat the Brockville Braves, 2-1 (OT).

The win by Pembroke clinched the best of seven series at 4-2.

Brockville was stymied by the Lumber Kings' netminder Darren Smith, who stopped 40 shots during the victory. The solid play of Smith will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.42.

Pembroke was led by Durocher, who grabbed one goal.

The Lumber Kings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Brockville power plays. Pembroke kept the Braves' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Pikul made 47 saves on 49 shots.

Kyle Shaw also scored for Pembroke. More assists for Pembroke came via Dylan Staples, Lucas Gonu, and Ryan Erickson, who contributed one each.

Brockville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Lumber Kings were unable to stop the Braves from sending pucks towards the net, and Brockville eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

The Braves were led by Sean King, who scored the team's only goal. King scored 12:34 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Cory Wilson assisted on the tally.

Pembroke incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brockville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
